Tarin Nix has owned and operated a successful consulting firm that oversaw political campaigns, issue-advocacy campaigns, and policy initiatives for over a decade. Tarin has served as Chief Analyst for the New Mexico State House Education Committee under the leadership of Commissioner Garcia Richard when she served as Chair of the Committee in the Legislature. Tarin received her B.A. in political science and women’s studies from the University of Alabama and her M.S.W with a dual specialization in public policy and nonprofit management from the University of Texas in Austin.
