Selena Romero
Assistant Commissioner of Administrative Services Division
As the Assistant Commissioner of Administrative Services, Selena oversees the Human Resources, Accounting, Information Technology, Records Management, and Facilities Divisions, and serves as the agency’s Co-CFO. Selena has been in state government since 2005 and has over 25 years of experience in training and organizational development. Previously she was the State Land Office Human Resources Director. Prior to that, she was the Human Resources Manager for the New Mexico Public School Facilities Authority. She holds a Master’s in Business Administration and two post graduate certifications in Mediation and Human Resources Management. Selena was named by the Society for Human Resources of New Mexico as the 2024 HR Professional of the Year “People Champion.”
