Steve Vierck and the economic development teams with which he has been associated have consistently achieved significant success at the community, regional and state levels. His experience in growing and diversifying local and state economies spans over 30 years working for key agencies in New Mexico, Arizona and Texas.

Originally from northern Illinois, he has served as President and CEO of three New Mexico economic development organizations: New Mexico Partnership, Mesilla Valley Economic Development Alliance and the Economic Development Corporation of Lea County. He has also worked professionally as Senior Vice President of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council and President of the Economic Development Consulting division for Austin – based Angelou Economics.

He received a Business Administration degree with a Regional Development major and a Master’s degree in Geography from the University of Arizona. A Certified Economic Developer (CEcD) since 1991, he was recently recognized as one of the “Top 50 Economic Developers” in North America.
