Public Meeting: SunZia Wind and Transmission Project (Belen)

MEETING NOTICE
The New Mexico State Land Office gives notice that in accordance with NMSA 1978, Section 19-7-9.1 that it will hold a public meeting on Tuesday, November 29 from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the Belen Community Center, 305 Eagle Lane Belen, NM 87002. Representatives of the lease applicants, the New Mexico Renewable Energy Transmission Authority (RETA) and El Corazon Wind LLC, will participate and be on hand to answer questions. The meeting will be in-person as well as virtual for those unable to attend in person. For those who wish to participate in the meeting via Zoom, the web address is as follows:

The purpose of this meeting is to receive public comment regarding a proposed right of way application submitted by RETA for the SunZia Transmission Project and the El Corazon Wind LLC generation-tie line right of way application for an easement from the New Mexico State Land Office. The applicants proposed projects cross state trust lands in Hidalgo, Luna, Grant, Sierra, Socorro, Valencia and Torrance Counties.
The in-person meeting will have staffed information stations available to answer questions. For those attending virtually, there will be virtual breakout rooms for individuals that have further questions regarding the project. Any change to the time will be posted with the Zoom link and a final agenda on the SLO webpage (http://www.nmstatelands.org) at least 72 hours prior to the date and time specified above.
