The New Mexico State Land Office has received a right-of-way (ROW) application from Diamond A Ranch, Western Division, LLC for approval to construct a 20′ wide road across a section of state trust land in Hidalgo County
The purpose of the road stated by the applicant is to provide public access to currently inaccessible Coronado Nation Forest lands . The ROW on state trust land will not provide public access without the cooperation provided by the private land owner.
The State Land Office previously presented the application information to the Hidalgo County Commission, and will follow that up with a public meeting.
