WSLCA - 2009 Winter Conference
New Mexico’s Commissioner of Public Lands Patrick Lyons welcomes you to the Land
of Enchantment January 11-15, 2009 for the Western States Land Commissioners Association’s
(WSLCA) Winter Conference.
The Western States Land Commissioners Association consists of 23 states which together
manage 447 million acres of surface estate, mineral properties, and land beneath
navigable waterways, all held in trust for public education in our respective states.
The association meets twice a year to share and exchange information, hear from
experts in relevant areas of public land management, and further the established
objectives.
Commissioner Lyons is pleased to host the winter conference in beautiful Santa Fe.
Santa Fe is New Mexico’s capital city and the oldest capital city in the United
States. This unique and extraordinary community sits 7,000 feet above sea level,
nestled in the foothills of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains.
The Spanish settled Santa Fe in 1607, and 400 years later Santa Feans continue to
cherish and embrace Northern New Mexico’s unique and extraordinary history, traditions
and diverse cultures.
Delegates and guests are encouraged to register early. The deadline to register
is December 12th. This site is designed to provide all the information necessary
to facilitate an easy registration, however please contact Kristin Haase at 505-827-3809
or
khaase@slo.state.nm.us with any additional
questions.
Santa Fe is located an hour's drive north of Albuquerque. Sandia Shuttle is by far
the most popular way of traveling from the Albuquerque International Sunport to
Santa Fe, and the van will drop you off at the Inn and Spa at Loretto. Once in town,
getting around is easy. Click on the Sandia Shuttle link or call the listed numbers
to make your reservations.
See you in Santa Fe!
