Legal Rules
Effective December 13, 2002, the State Land Office has reformatted all of its 21 rules in the New Mexico Administrative Code format. The reformatted rules were filed with the New Mexico State Records Center and can now be viewed on the Records Center website ( http://www.nmcpr.state.nm.us/nmac/_title19/T19C002.htm ).
All State Land Office rules can be found in Chapter 2 ("State Trust Lands") of Title 19 ("Natural Resources & Wildlife") of the New Mexico Administrative Code. You can print the new rules from the Records Center website or you can obtain copies of the rules from the SLO Office of General Counsel.

We have provided a conversion chart to show the transition from the old rule numbers to the new rule numbers. For the rule numbers, we have attempted to maintain the same chronological order. Thus, if you wanted to find old Rule 8 on agricultural leases, you would look in 19.2.8 NMAC, or if you wanted old Rule 10 on easements and rights of way, you would look at 19.2.10 NMAC.
