Ralph A. Gallegos, Assistant Commissioner for Special Projects
Ralph A. Gallegos has worked in government for over 25 years. He began his career in the private sector with an abstract and title company and served as sales manager and sales consultant for a large manufactured home retailer in New Mexico. He has held several managerial and executive positions in state government during his tenure. He is active in community event planning and in the political process at the local, state and federal levels.
He has been instrumental in coordinating special events and projects for various elected officials and a major political party. Gallegos considers one of his most valuable contributions to date was coordinating a major political historic event in Las Vegas, N.M. Gallegos coordinated a visit from President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama in San Miguel County during the presidential campaign. He was also instrumental in recruiting and registering thousands of new voters in San Miguel County.
He hails from Las Vegas and attended New Mexico Military Institute, Robertson High School and New Mexico State University.
