Don Britt, Assistant Commissioner for Commercial Resources

Don Britt returned to the New Mexico State Land Office after working in the private sector for the past eight years. He worked for the New Mexico State Land Office for about 12 years in the past. He started working at the State Land Office in 1991 in the Field Division as the Chief Appraiser and subsequently held several other positions that included Assistant Director for Commercial Resources, Director of Commercial Resources, and Assistant Commissioner. Britt worked as the Director of Land Acquisition and Development for a national home builder in Albuquerque, New Mexico and as Director of the Lands Department for Sandia Pueblo, in Bernalillo, New Mexico.
Britt has been involved in the real estate industry as a real estate appraiser since 1981 and is a General Certified Real Estate Appraiser. Britt graduated from the College of Santa Fe in 1986 with a bachelor's degree in business management and worked as a fee appraiser until joining the team at the State Land Office in 1991.
