Adult Education and Outreach
The New Mexico State Land Office offers free monthly guided tours during the summer months to archeological and historical sites which are centuries old. Step back in time with agency staff as they walk along these paths of ancient times. Natural history and wind farm tours also are offered on occasion. The sites are on state trust land and are preserved and protected. Tours are restricted to 20 guests to minimize impact to the land.
"Understanding and protecting the history of those who previously lived here is critical to fully appreciating and ensuring our future in this very special place we call home -- New Mexico."
Ray Powell
New Mexico State Land Commissioner
Please Note: Registering in the State Land Office database does not guarantee a spot on a tour. Please call Miranda Miller, instructional coordinator, at 505-827-4003 or sign-up on line through the link below.
